Bio
Leonardo Krapp is an assistant professor at
Universidad de Concepcion. He obtained his PhD in Astronomy in 2019 at the
University of Copenhagen. In 2022 he obtained the 51 Pegasi b fellowship in
planetary astronomy. He joined Universidad of Concepcion in the Fall of
2024. Leonardo Krapp is interested in planet formation and computational
astrophysics. As a computational astrophysicist, Leonardo reproduces the
conditions where planets are born using complex dynamical models with the
code FARGO3D. His research has extended the capabilities of the powerful
code FARGO3D to perform multifluid simulations.
