HPC Centers Around the World – Science and Computing Perspectives for the Latin American and Caribbean Community
Workshop Overview
This half-day workshop brings together the Latin American and Caribbean High Performance Computing (HPC) community with international leaders from HPC centers. Participants will explore best practices, success stories, and available HPC resources worldwide, with a focus on how scientists in the region can access and benefit from these infrastructures to accelerate their research.
The workshop features a unique format that pairs domain scientists with computational experts or facilitators from HPC facilities, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange. Beyond technical insights, the sessions highlight community-driven support models that enable scalable, impactful science.
Aligned with CARLA’s mission, the workshop fosters collaboration, capacity building, and inclusive access to HPC resources, strengthening ties between regional researchers and the global HPC ecosystem.
