Welcome! We are thrilled to host you at our University. To ensure you have a pleasant and smooth experience, we are sharing some very important information for your trip planning.
Documentation & Entry Requirements
Immigration Requirements
Great news! Conference attendees do not need to apply for a visa to enter Argentina (for short academic or tourist activities up to 90 days).
- You must present a valid passport (we strongly suggest a minimum validity of 6 months upon arrival).
- Citizens of MERCOSUR member or associated countries can simply enter with their valid National Identity Document (ID).
International Health Insurance
Mandatory Requirement
The Argentine government requires all non-resident foreigners to have international health insurance to enter the territory.
- The insurance must cover the entirety of your stay. You will need to declare proof of coverage upon entry.
- Ensure the policy includes: medical consultations, emergencies, hospitalization, and health repatriation.
Health Aspects (Vaccines)
Currently, there are no mandatory vaccines required to enter the country.
Useful Tip: If you plan to travel to the north or the littoral region of Argentina before or after the conference, we recommend consulting a travel medicine center about specific vaccines, such as the yellow fever vaccine.
Airport Transfers
The “Ingeniero Ambrosio Taravella” International Airport (locally known as Pajas Blancas) is located about 15 kilometers from the city center. Options to get to your hotel:
Taxis & Remises
Taxis: You will find the exclusive taxi rank right outside the terminal exit. The trip to downtown takes 30-40 minutes (approx. $30 USD). Most drivers accept cash and digital wallets.
Remises (Private Cars): If you prefer a private car service, “Autoremis” has a customer service desk in the arrivals hall (ground floor) where you can check rates and pay before starting the trip.
Aerobús (Airport Bus)
A premium bus service specifically designed for travelers, equipped with luggage space, air conditioning, WiFi, and USB ports.
- Route: Airport – Bus Terminal (T2) – Downtown.
- Frequency: Departs every hour.
- Payment: SUBE transit card or enabled electronic methods. You can check real-time schedules on the Tu Bondi app.
Car Rental
If you prefer to drive, the airport features offices of international car rental companies (Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Alamo) as well as local options (Rentacar Córdoba, Cactus Rent a Car).
We remain at your disposal for any further inquiries.
