She has a background in Computer Science from the University of Havana.<\/p><p>She was a professor at Carlos III University of Madrid from 2005 to 2012 and a visiting researcher at the University of Lisbon in 2009 and University College Dublin in 2010. She also completed a postdoctoral position at the Federal Fluminense University in Brazil in 2011.<\/p><p>Her research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, the Internet of Things, and human-computer interaction.
