Title: Deploying scientific software in production at CSCS.
Abstract: Providing a high-performing software stack for researchers can be very challenging, in particular when users have specific demands and the underlying hardware infrastructure is heterogeneous. In this talk we will discuss the experience of providing scientific software to a wide variety of users from the CSCS community, covering the tools and techniques used in view of making this process sustainable throughout the system life-time (upgrades) and manageable by team in a consistent manner.
Bio: Guilherme is technical group lead at CSCS. He has a PhD degree in Computer Science and 10+ years of experience in the field of HPC. He worked for both academia, by performing research on parallel programming models, and for industry, with the development of numerical software for computational fluid dynamics simulations.
